Monthly Governance Retainer
Making Improvements Stick
Earlier improvement efforts had faded within a quarter. A standing governance cadence made the next round stick.
The challenge
New processes held while attention was on them, then quietly eroded. Exception reports were produced but not worked, controls were designed but never tested, and improvement ideas raised in meetings were lost.
What we did
Ran a monthly governance review with a standing agenda and a published pack.
Maintained an exception tracker between cycles, with escalation for stalled items.
Scheduled control testing and followed remediation to closure.
Kept a prioritised improvement backlog and worked it in sequence.
